Born of the water

Tidal Adventures creates and publishes books and maps made specifically for sea kayakers.
With over forty years of experience on the water, our publications are shaped by real-world knowledge of the sea — its conditions, its demands, and the freedom it offers to those who venture out.

Based on the west coast of Denmark, we combine experience, precision, and craftsmanship to produce reliable, high-quality resources for sea kayakers everywhere.

Maps Made for Sea Kayakers

Our maps provide complete coverage of the Danish coastline, combining essential coastal detail with features that matter to sea kayakers. Each map shows buoyage, coastal formations, and key land features such as campsites and landing areas — information often missing from traditional nautical charts.

The grid system is simplified for quick distance estimates while on the water, and the symbology for lights, buoys, and coastal features has been redesigned for clarity and ease of understanding. By removing the clutter of conventional charts, we’ve created a clean, intuitive mapping style that supports confident coastal exploration.

The Sea Kayaker’s Pocket Book

Compact, durable, and designed for real use on the water, the Havkajak Lommebogbrings together essential knowledge for sea kayakers. It covers coastal conditions, safety, planning, and practical skills — everything from reading the sea and managing weather to efficient rescues and group travel.

Written and tested by experienced paddlers, it distils decades of on-water experience into a clear, reliable format that fits easily into your gear. A companion for training, expeditions, and everyday paddling alike.
